TDI CCR Intro to Cave Diver
An very experienced closed circuit rebreather diver may, after successful completion of the TDI Cavern Diver course, begin their TDI CCR cave training. The TDI CCR cave diving program is comprised of two training levels: CCR Introductory Cave Diver and CCR Full Cave Diver. The TDI CCR Introductory Cave Diver course is an introduction to the basic principles of cave diving utilizing a single primary guideline, whist diving a colsed circuit rebreather unit.
Introductory cave diving directly builds upon the techniques and procedures introduced during the TDI Cavern Diver course. This introduction to cave diving is not intended to train divers for all facets of cave diving. The objective of this course is the perfection of skills taught in the cavern diving program, in addition to the adoption of additional techniques and procedures required for elementary cave dives.
Program limits:
- CCR Cave dives with simple, one line only navigation
- Penetration limited to the Rule of Sixths for gas consumption
- No equipment removal
- Complete CCR cave configuration
Special Required Equipment :
- Own rebreather unit
- 2 Bailout regulators, both with long hose, inflator hose and SPG
- Primary light and two backup lights
- Primary reel and backup reel
- Two cutting tools (recommended: one pair of scissors and one Z-knife)
- Line marker/cookie (1) and line arrows (3)
- Backup mask
- Deco buoy
- Wrist slate
Prerequisites :
- Minimum age : 17 years with parental autorisation
- TDI CCR diver + TDI Cavern Diver or equivalent
